Synopsis

Viz Media: Kirita is a typical child of the Eighties, equally worried about homework and nuclear war. His precocious friend Takumi can’t figure out why the other kids won’t acknowledge him as their obvious superior. And silent Tsugumu just wants to rock out. Welcome to the secret world of the children nowadays. The story is set in the same elementary school as [Cynical Hysterie Hour](/series/mx18kor/cynical-hysterie-hour), and characters from that show occasionally appear. Note: The Children Nowadays was originally serialized in Big Comic Spirits, a seinen magazine. Only later was it reserialized in Shougaku Ichinensei and Shougaku Rokunensei, which are kodomo magazines (for 1st and 6th graders respectively). Kodomo is NOT shounen.
